Shae Sterling has worked professionally in the entertainment industry for nearly 20 years.
He started his own solo career as “The Sagittarian” achieving no.1 on mp3.com with the hit “Liferider”. Shae then proceeded to follow his film career, starting in Hollywood Shae worked beside director Philippe Mora (Communion, Christopher Walken).
After returning to NZ Shae worked on a performance car documentary titled "High Octane" as director of the 6 part annual DVD series. High Octane was the first performance car series of its kind involving humour, stories and car culture (before the BBC series Top Gear). Each High Octane title, (6 released annually) went to no.1 in NZ on the DVD charts, topping all movies. Nearly 1 million copies of High Octane were printed, sold and promoted in New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, Scandinavia, United Kingdom and the US.
Shae started his own record label in 2006 called “Moonlight Sounds”. Shae signed artist “Masiey Rika”, and since then Maisey has produced 3 albums receiving many awards. Shae has been directing music videos since 2006 and produced over 40 videos for artists such as Stan Walker, Brooke Fraser, Vince Harder, Massad, K.one ft Scribe, Dane Rumble, Maisey Rika, Sons of Zion, Drew and Rob Vegas. Sterling’s “Karma Killer” music video won the “Kodak Knack award” in 2007, and he has had many no.1 videos on Juice TV. Vince Harders “Far From Here” was nominated for best video at the Pacific music awards in 2013. Shae won best music video at the Waiata Music Awards in 2013.
